Nothing special about this place, basic rooms and TV is way to small. But if you want a hotel" close to nature and plan to spend the days outside exploring it might be worth a stay."

For sure it’s not a 3 star hotel as in description. More like very basic 2 star motel with limited facilities. Narrow beds and drain smelling bathroom. Very basic shared kitchen annex. Breakfast included means slice of cheese left in the fridge. No good value for money.

Trevligt litet hotell

I kombination med Mat och inträde på Vildmarkscenter verkligen prisvärt. Fint och funktionellt rum. Verkligen lugnt och sen närheten till Skellefteälven. Beställer man inte extra frukost så gör man sin egen macka och kaffe /te, för mig var det fullt tillräckligt

I couldn't fault them at all. Really lovely, kind, lovely to chat to, accommodating people. The rooms lead on to the shared area with kitchen. So be respectful and be quiet at night. I didn't hear my neighbours so it could be good sound proofing or they could have been quiet because I was sleeping. I booked for one night and stayed for the rest of my trip. Had the delicious buffet on the last day, book in advance. There's no shop/restaurant in the hamlet, so get food in advance(very important if you have any dietary restrictions like me) for cooking or be prepared to drive to nearby towns. Contact them in advance to sort out snow mobiles/dog sledding etc. As it can book up fast. Isolated, picturesque. A big thank you to Connie for organising my activities and just being a fantastic person. I was based in this area and did day trips in the car to nearby cities. There was a good bit of driving but it meant having the freedom to go anywhere much quicker and cheaper than buses, which don't always run daily or directly to wherever you might want to go. Originally, I was going to base myself out of a city and do day trips to the countryside. So happy I did it the other way round. But just staying around the area of Svansele would have been perfect too. It's postcard material, it's so pretty!
