Amazing experience at this restaurant. Exactly what we were looking to have for dinner, seafood. The restraunt was really nice but seating was a bit awkward being right next to others eating. Didn't make it very romantic, if your looking for that. Those were the strip of tables by the windows most of the other ones looked nicer. But the food was really good and we thought the prices were good for seafood.

En utav de bästa fiskrestauranger i stan. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, utsökt mat.Ligger lite gömd på en tråkig parallell gata till avenyn, men atmosfären är mysig och välkomnande.

Ett besök som tyvärr lämnade en hel del att önska. Felserverad fördrink, det tog lång tid för maten att serveras och när den väl kom så höll den på att serveras till ett annat bord när en annan servitris ryckte till sig tallriken ur händerna på den första och sedan gav vår mat till oss. God mat men löjligt små portioner. Min tonfisk skulle serveras med rostad sötpotatis och på tallriken låg fyra små bitar av densamma.Jag gjorde också misstaget att inte kontrollera kvittot. Hade jag gjort det så hade jag upptäckt att de även hade lagt till en vegansk gnocchi som vi inte beställt eller för den delen ätit. Det här är med råge den sämsta restaurang jag ätit på vad gäller service och jag kommer inte sätta min fot här igen. Undvik den här om ni vill ha en trevlig upplevelse

Food was excellent and fresh and also the portion size was more than enough. Highly recommend eating the Sjöbaren`s Fish Seafood Soup and fresh shrimps.

My group very much wanted to try out this restaurant. With my “finned fish” allergy I was a little worried about eating at top rated fish restaurant, but they went above and beyond to make an amazing meal. Had the sea food three course dinner and my colleagues had the cod. Truly wonderful service and exceptional dinner. This was by far the best dinner we had all week in Gothenburg.The langoustines au gratin were super. The soup was the best I’ve ever had, which they made special without the fish for me. I had to get help eating the large amount of shrimp that came with the steamed mussels, langoustines and oyster. The mussels with white sauce were also really great. Everything was super.

We had a wonderful experience at Sjöbaren Lorensberg. The food was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. My husband, who likes to cook, had some questions about the fish and the seasoning on his catch of the day dinner, which was outstanding. The man assisting us took time to talk about the food and answer my husband's questions. I had the herring starter and the fish soup which were both excellent. The passionfruit ice cream with the creme brûlée dessert was fabulous, too. The atmosphere was delightful and friendly. I rarely post reviews, but our experience here was so positive and so delightful that I wanted to recognize both the quality of the food and the quality of the staff.
