Had a great family trip last week. Wonderful house in a perfect environment. The village has only a small ICA grocery store + pizza fast food restaurant, but that's certainly enough. The hosts Mikael & Maya are very kind. They provided snow shoes, cross country ski's for outside fun. Inside there's a fireplace, a well equiped kitchen + a lot of space to sit and relax. One night we went out for a sauna trip to 'camp 3 rivers', arranged by Mikael. Highly recommended place to stay.

I stayed at Junosuando Guesthouse second year in a row and I will keep coming back to that winter wonderland. The guesthouse itself is extremely cozy, the space feels like home, it is warm and wonderfully decorated. Kitchen is properly equipped, bedrooms have a great feel to them too, with fluffy big duvets and breathtaking views if you peek through the window. I slept like a baby in the room every night. I also enjoyed preparing meals with friends in the big spacious kitchen after a day of skiing in the forest or on the frozen river, serving the meal in the main room that also has fireplace and the piano, which provided for that extra coziness of a remote winter wonderland. Maya and Mikael were helpful too and a great company. Surroundings of the guesthouse are everything you expect from a proper Lapland remote village during winter: spectacular sunrise and sundown, with sky usually being blue-ish and pink-ish. The frozen river is literally in front of the house and it is a great place to witness norther lights as you are totally outside any light pollution. As Junosuando is a tiny village, everything is nearby, so if you feel like refreshing yourself with a swim in the local pool and some sauna time, you just take a 5 minute walk to the swimming pool building. Anyone who is considering visiting Swedish Lapland should definitely consider spending some time here.

Ett trivsamt vandrarhem för den som vill vila och rå om sig själv och inte har krav på omfattande service. Du får ett enkelt trivsamt rum med en skön säng. Tillgång till kök där du kan laga din egen frukost eller middag.
