Uppsala International Summer Session

Unfortunately I have to agree with B. E.I visited UISS last year, and had a good time with my teachers. But the staff didn't mention me at all. Nelleke was not very friendly too. But worst of all, I've had the same experience with the deposit! I thought it was my mistake, although I was sure I did clean my room carefully. But now I read this, I'm sure it wasn't my fault. It seems to be their way to earn some extra money. I'm very sad more people have this problem.Edit: they don't prove what they do with the money. They just say they had to clean it a bit themselve, without any proof. Easy money...

I definitely can recommend UISS to everybody wishing to improve their Swedish and learn more about politics and culture in Sweden. The provided student accommodation is hotel grade and centrally located. Leisure time activities allow you to socialize and network.

Exzellente schwedisch Sprachkurse werden hier angeboten. Gute Lehrer, super Stimmung und günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten. Uppsala ist ein schöner Ort zum verweilen. Kursteilnehmer waren bisher alle immer nett und gemeinsam konnte man vieles unternehmen. Hier würde ich jederzeit gerne wieder hin fahren.

The teachers are very dedicated and friendly. But the staf, and especialy the director, don’t seem to care about other studentes then the Americans. As a European student you are ignored. And the director is not just to the point, she is very unfriendly and inaccessible. If you decide to go, please keep in mind you might not get your deposit back. It happend to several people, without a legitimate reason.

Great course to learn Swedish and enjoy a very international and open community.

This is a great program ! Especially the people who go there . And the staff are pretty great . The director is good but to the point . So keep that in mind . But she definitely cares.

It was like a family for me. The full package option makes you spare time and hair so you dont need to look for accomodation by your own. The personnel is very professional and experienced and it becomes as a family in the end. I d raccomand it to everyone indeed!
