Husky-Cabin

We booked with Husky-Cabin for a dog sledding experience with Sabine March 16th. It was absolutely the best experience of our entire trip. Sabine was very welcoming. My girls (17 and 14) absolutely loved interacting with the dogs before and after sledding and Sabine gave perfect instructions to us on what to do while driving. We had a great lunch my campfire mid way through the experience which was fantastic. Would definitely book again! Thank you Sabine for making our experience perfect!

I had a great experience arranging the husky tour. Sabine explains things well through e-mail and thing were set up quickly. We booked the Husky morning tour of 3 hours including fika. All the tours are private so you don't sit with strangers on a sled.Because we would fly to Kiruna we would be picked up at the airport. Sabine brought us to her home where quickly heard the excited dogs, they were very ready for a run!Sabine gave us extra clothes to put over our current outfit. She has a great range of clothing sizes. The extra clothes were indeed quite useful. Despite the sunny day, sitting still on the sled can be pretty cold if you're not used to it, but with the extra clothes it was totally fine.After getting dressed, Sabine prepared the dogs to be attached to the pulling system of the sled. Sabine warned us for a very excited dog, who just loved to be petted but forgot sometimes he was going quite fast and might knock you over that way. Sabine controlled this particular dog very well and made sure he wouldn't be too excited. Overall the dogs are very well mannered and just love to come up to you and meet you in a calm manner. My girlfriend who is only used to small dogs and overcame her childhood fear, was also totally fine and comfortable and loved the interaction.Once ready we set off through the forests and frozen lakes. It was a beautiful ride. At some point we were allowed to stand on the sled ourselves together with Sabine, which was awesome, definitely a great view while cruising!When we came back, we met some more dogs of Sabines pack, including some cute pups. Afterwards we had a great fika and a good chat. Finally Sabine also brought us to the cabin that we booked in the neighbourhood of Kiruna.Overall, Sabine is a very nice host. She explains everything well and is very accommodating. Furthermore she was a good fika chat partner as well. Sabine was even kind enough to send me a text message, letting me know the northern lights were visible. The dogs are great, the sledding was a lot of fun. I just don't really have any negative points to mention. Both my girlfriend and I just loved the entire experience.

We had a wonderful time with Sabine. She is passionate about her job and very attentive with her dogs. She welcomed us very well. We were allowed to spend a good time with the dogs and to taste a great fika at the end of the sled ride! She taught us a lot about the region. It is an authentic experience that you must live!

We had an unforgettable day at Sabine‘s Husky Cabin! She has a beautiful and intimate setup for her dogs and knows them all so well. It’s a truly unique personal experience hosted by someone who truly loves her huskies. Try to get a spot here before booking with one of the larger more commercial places!

Wir hatten eine tolle Hundeschlitten Tour. Dank der zusätzlich bereitgestellten Kleidung war uns trotz der -20°C die gesamte Tour über warm. Sabine war sehr gut auf uns vorbereitet. Die Abholung war pünktlich und am vereinbarten Treffpunkt. Während der Tour hat sie sich sehr viel Zeit genommen; es kam nie Zeitstress auf und wir konnten die Natur, das Lagerfeuer und die tollen Hunde sehr genießen. Vollste Empfehlung!

Sabine was an amazing guide for this dog sledding tour! You'll get to know about the story of each dogs, to learn and understand about settling the sled, the dogs behaviour [...], while chilling down and discussing around a nice fire and enjoying some sausages!!This was awesome!Thank you Sabine! :)
