A restaurant experience unlike any other! Don’t miss it.Highlights: enjoy cocktails and bites in the lounge upon entry. Two small courses served in the kitchen with the chefs, where you get some info on cooking with fire and coals. 14 course menu is an absolute delight. Staff is top-notch.Truly a place that you have to visit to experience. They accommodated our diets (vegetarian, pescatarian), and they don’t hold back with the wine pairing. Refined, elegant but still not stuffy. You’ll be consistently surprised and delighted throughout your meal - a rare experience.

The food is delicious here- you can really taste the smokiness in each bite. The pacing is great, they have a very knowledgeable sommelier, and their servers are almost perfectly synchronized, which is a fascinating thing to witness. A highlight of the evening was a tour of the kitchen- we even ate two courses right there in the kitchen, and were able to watch them fired right in front of us in a very theatrical way. It was unique and my favorite part of the evening.A very intriguing and fun experience, with excellent food and very good service.

Wow. Incredible. Top level service including a tour of the kitchen during dinner. And the dinner itself was amazing. We all had the full seven course meal and it came with a few extra snacks at the beginning, and a delicious bread and butter. We each had a different favorite dish, and the flavors were a beautiful mix I’ve never tried before and might never again. I also love their principle of cooking every dish with wood fire. It led to delicious results.

My husband chose this place for a date on our honeymoon and it was lovely. The wine selection was great as was the service. We loved all of the foods we had as well. Bringing us into the kitchen was super neat as well- it certainly makes you appreciate their style of cooking.

I travel the world for food and initially it was planned to visit Frantzen but they had a summer holiday. Looking back we were lucky Frantzen was on holiday as this place is was the discovery of the year for me. It was an absolute delight and if this place does not get a second or even third star, Michelin would have a serious identity problem. One of the best restaurant experiences I had since a long time. Big thanks to the team of Ekstedt for making our evening such a fabulous culinary adventure.

Wow amazing experience from beginning to end. Service was amazing. They are so incredibly nice and knowledgeable in their craft. The food was presented as almost an art piece and each dish was great in its own unique way. The mini tour to the back of house is a nice little bonus during the meal.

Absolutely spectacular meal with exceptional service. I wrote Ekstedt from Toronto asking for a special reservation as they were fully booked online and they were kind enough to fit us in…AT THE CHEF’S TABLE! It was wonderful. Highly recommend. Watching the large team work up close was riveting. Like culinary surgery. Worth every penny.
