Hot-pot is less of a dish than it is an experience and I find Hotpot Republic is an interesting place for experience “Hot-pot” in Copenhagen!The hot-pot menu (we ordered hot pot for 3 persons) offers variety of ingredients, such as thinly sliced meats, mushrooms, tofu, dried bean curd, Chinese lettuces, fresh noodles, and more, in a single pot of simmering, with 2 different seasoned broth (by your choice) heated on an induction burner or electric range, along with peanut sauce dipping. In brief, it is a nice experience for us (even though we have tried many different types of hotpot in Asia). I can not say the taste is fantastic but it is decent. To me, the bonus points of the place are the Asian ambiance and the service are the highlight for the place…

Our dining experience was truly exceptional. We opted for the full tasting menu, which was nothing short of remarkable. Even though it may not be the most economical option, we found it to be well worth the expense due to its superb quality and attention to detail.

Went with my partner and we had an amazing time. We had vegan hot pot and dessert (mango sorbet). Food tasted great and it was very nicely presented. Customer service was kind and helpful. If I lived in Copenhagen, I would definitely come back!

I had a fantastic experience at Hot Pot Republic! The atmosphere was beautifully decorated with traditional red lanterns, creating a cozy and romantic ambiance. The food itself was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The price was more than reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the cuisine. It's the perfect spot for either a casual dinner with friends or a romantic evening with your significant other.

This authentic Chinese restaurant serves some truly amazing dishes. Having traveled to Shanghai numerous times, I can attest that this is the real deal. The ambience is casual and relaxed, but the service is top-notch, with highly knowledgeable waitstaff who can help you navigate the menu and select the perfect drink to pair with your meal.

Not good experience for my Sunday dinner.The food:The soup base is good. The meat is below average I would say. The most thing to ruin my dinner is that there are TWO conch shells in the dumpling. I swallowed one by accident and split the other one, see the updated photo.The service:The waiter was friendly and apologizes in the first place when we reported the shell incident. Also they offered 3 drinks to make it up.My personal feeling:Not quite sure if I would come back or suggest friends to this place. The restaurant needs to ensure all ingredients should be made properly no matter it is made in house or buy from somewhere else. I still don’t feel comfortable after I swallowed one of the shell.

The food was good but some of the meat was pretty tough and one soup base had loads of spices, which I kept eating by mistake. The waiter did not know the menu and almost dropped the food several times. Also, some of the tables are very narrow and because of this it was hard to cook the food without hitting the glasses and each other by mistake. Overall, the food os pretty nice but I don’t think I will be back any time soon.

Great place, and if you like your szechuan vibes in a pot it is definitely worth a visit. And while you’re at it, don’t miss out on the Lotus Root starter.

Nothing incredible. Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant and very kind staff . Besides that, not much else.The food quality was decent and the portion very small. The meat was frozen when arrived at the table. It's just difficult to understand how can process and frozen food cost this much, considering that you also have to cook it yourself. It is a different experience than usual, but I had to eat something else when going back home.One Hotpot menu and one beer 380 dkk.In my pictures: Meat and fish for 4 person. The vegetable board for 2 person.
