Do the North

Myself and my boyfriend had such a lovely 5 days trip. The communication was excellent beforehand and couldn’t have wished for better kit to do it with. You really had thought of everything! Thanks again for all your advice and help, will defo be recommending this trip to all friends inside and outside Sweden!

I’ve just returned from for days kayaking and foraging in Sweden. I had the most glorious stress busting time. I’m a larger woman and wasn’t made to feel that I couldn’t do it or that I shouldn’t be there. I was able to take part in all activities and kept up with the team. I’m really proud of myself! Thomas and Helena were amazing, we laughed all weekend. The food was amazing and absolutely beautiful. My tastes have now changed I always avoided sweet/ savoury combinations but now I know I’ve been missing out. If I could have drunk the fish soup I would have! The kayaking was great. We kayaked just enough each day for me to find it challenging without it being too long. The double kayaks went through the water like butter even when fully loaded. For four glorious days my head was empty of anxiousness and for that I am grateful. Thank you.

The culinary experience was a once in a lifetime experience. Experiencing Helena’a cooking on our own private island was better than we could have ever imagined! Some of the most delicious food we have ever tasted. We loved kayaking and foraging with Thomas in the day and spending long evenings at the dinner table with the group in the evenings. I cannot recommend this trip enough. We couldn’t have asked for better food, a more beautiful setting or more wonderful company. We hope to do another trip with Do The North soon. What an amazing experience! I went as a solo traveler and to experience Sweden in such a unique way with amazing, knowledgeable and entertaining guides Rob and Diego, was perfect. Rob’s culinary skills are top notch. I was lucky enough to book during Midsommar and had the added bonus of the celebration. Each campsite chosen was unique and the scenery and sunsets were spectacular. Meeting other solo travelers from various countries made it even more special. Highly recommended!

Our Kayak adventure in the St Anna Archipelago with ‘Do The North’ was excellent. The environment is ideal for the outdoor minded providing unrestricted access to a natural seascape with islands of all sizes to explore and camp on. We developed our navigation and wild camping skills quickly and saw more wildlife than people. Definitely a good way to get away from the aspects of modern life. Do The North provided good information from booking to the event itself with well-prepared information on the trip, the location and food planning. Nothing was missing. Also, from the pick up to the drop off everything ran perfectly to plan, equipment provided was in good condition, all worked well and the staff we interacted with were enthusiastic and thorough in their roles. Its not often I leave reviews but on this occasion, I was very impressed.

Unforgettable, very well organized kajak trip with a lovely group of people including two super fun and caring guides (Diego and Katha), amazing sunsets and sunrises in a very peaceful landscape. I would definitely recommend this trip if you‘re looking to get off your phone, unwind as well as get active and experience Swedish nature with only the essentials.

We chose do the north for our honeymoon adventure after a recommendation from a friend and had the most amazing time. We were so lucky with wall to wall sunshine the whole time and saw some beautiful scenery. We travelled about 10 miles a day and felt so at peace on the water.Being kayaking novices, we were so grateful for the absolute top notch kit and briefing at the start. All the staff were so lovely, shout out to Tom , Diego , and Christian. The communication beforehand was fab also from Helena. Thank you!If you'd like a trip that feels completely secluded, a learning experience and with stunning scenery - this is it. We'd love to come back one day!

Just returned from a 4 day self guided trip, two dads and two teenage sons who had just finished their GCSEs. A fantastic experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Although we didn't get as far as we wanted to, due to slightly stronger winds, the whole area is amazing and beautiful. You can go as far as you want or just stop earlier in the day and make camp and then chill, swim, fish or explore the islands. There are ample places to find the ideal camping spot away from anyone or anything and it is so peaceful at night. Sunsets/ sunrises and the night sky ware amazing.The service from the Do The North team was brilliant, right from our initial enquiry, to dropping us in Norrkoping when we finished. The equipment provided is top notch. They provided everything we needed and more and to have all your food order already for you when you arrive makes it so easy. After 4 days and 3 nights none of us wanted it to finish and if I do it again, I would probably go for longer.For a father and son adventure it was just perfect, my advice is just do it!

Amazing trip, amazing people, with very professional guides such as Rob & Diego, who allows you to have the best time surrounded by stunning nature (and we ate great), they always have an eye on you, so you never feel unsafe. I really recommand it, specially if you want to disconnect a few days from the daily routine. Lots of fun!
