I attended a really poor quality online 'course' – which involved being rambled at for 2 hours. No interactive elements to maintain engagement or connect the other parents participating. Hard to follow the dialogue. Badly structured slides.What a real pity. I had much higher expectations for this. I could have read most of this information on Youtube and 1177.

We attended the the Lamaze class with my wife. We were happy both with the content and the delivery of the course. Highly recommended!

Extremely unprofessional and poor service. Paid the bill twice (with receipt) and somehow they still managed to mark my account as not paid, and sent the bill to debt collection. A lot of stress and hassle for what they themselves admit to being “a system error” on their side. Not at all what I wanted when signing up for pregnancy yoga to relax prior to DD.

Var idag på profylaxkurs och kan varmt rekommendera denna. Professionell barnmorska, härlig och energigivande kommunikation och lagom stor klass. Bra mix av teori och praktiska delar. Helena som ledde vår kurs var briljant och det var alltid nära till skratt och lek.

I took several classes (in Swedish) through Babygruppen and was extremely disappointed in their quality and lack of professionalism in most of them.Barnavård (baby care): the space we were meant to have this class was double booked, so after a delay we relocated to the waiting room at Amsak. There was not enough space or a proper screen to see the slides, and the whole class amounted to attachment parenting. Lots of skin to skin contact. I expected things like how to bathe a baby and how often, how to stimulate them, bedtime and nap routines, avoiding diaper rash, etc. Strategies for parents to minimize sleep deprivation, how to cope with a colicky baby, etc. None of that was covered, and we were never offered any compensation for the inadequate space where this class ended up being held.Amning (nursing): was better in terms of content, but not so practically helpful. Nursing in theory is easy, but in practice is hard, and I think most people need hands on help. The content is available online or from the free class through the MVC (at least at Mama Mia), and I think that’s more than adequate; having taken this course did not help me at all when our baby came. Also, they said burping was not needed for a breastfed baby which we found to be 100% false for us and our baby.Profylax: the one thing my partner and I took away from this class was that different people want support in different ways when in pain, physical contact and cheering may or may not be desired. There was a useful simulation exercise where we raised our hands to simulate discomfort and experimented with different types of support, and a tip that a partner applying pressure against the lower back could help with contraction discomfort, but that was what we took away from this 2-day, 6 hour course - it could have easily been shortened to 2 hrs. I mistakenly expected them to cover things like other types of pain relief during labor, which they did not.Apparently the free “Förlossningskurs” at the hospital (Danderyd for us) was also organized by Babygruppen (according to our booking confirmation?) and for all of my dissatisfaction with the paid clases, I thought the class at Danderyd was excellent, comprehensive, and informative and worth every minute, though it was very long and held during the insane summer heat wave in an auditorium with malfunctioning air conditioning!
