Kronborg

This castle was a must visit since Hamlet was such an important piece we studied back in school. The castle is massive with lots of interesting things to see. You can also climb a set of spiral stairs to get a view from the top. The castle wasn’t very crowded which was very nice.

Visited on the bright sunny day.Enjoyed free guide tour around and inside the castle. The tour is extremely informative. There are lots of signs in English to explain what we were seeing.Recommend

An outstanding location for a beautiful historical building. Besides the interesting visit to the interiors, it is worth the while just to get there and take a look at the castle and its surroundings from the outside. Very easy to reach by train from Copenhagen. Just beautiful!

Beautiful place, absolutely recommended. The castle is really well preserved, the whole surrounding area kept in excellent condition gives the place the right lift. It's nice to visit these places without excessive crowds, immersing yourself a little in the part". In the facing area you can organize a nice picnic or visit Helsingborg

This castle was really cool and the fact that they had people acting like Cassius, Gertrude and Hamlet only added to the experience. Make sure to not miss the dungeon. That was one of our favorite parts.

Spectacular castle. The grounds around the castle are beautiful and the castle itself really gave you a sense of what it was like in the distant past. There are actors in period clothing around which add to the effect. Ask about the pie room"

This place is breathtaking. Truly one of the most beautiful danish castles. Sitting down, staring at the castle, at the picturesque sea, it’s an incredibly relaxing experience. It’s a one hour train from Copenhagen, but it’s totally worth it, especially because there are a few other things to visit in the city. Maritime museum, small aquarium, or even the transportation museum.

Shakespeare made the place extra famous, but it's a really fun place for kids with the Monster exhibit, and under 18 is free. Wear ankle supporting footwear and be ready for lots of stairs if you want to see everything. We spent the best part of the day there.The guide was entertaining and made history come alive!

Lovely place for a day visit. It took about 3 hours for us to complete our tour. We had our Copenhagen card so our entry was free. There was a game going on where visitors can vote who's going to be the next king as we entered at a time when King hamlet is dead and the throne needs a successor. The Kings brother had just married the Kings widow. The Kings son is so in the running, so is the queen. We were given a piece of paper to vote after listening to the pitch of each candidate. It was fun.

Kronborg slott är ett mycket välbesökt och välbevarat renässanslott. Det finns guider överallt, klädda i tidsenliga dräkter, mycket professionella. Interiören är vacker och historiskt intressant. Sedan finns en shop i tre stora lokaler med ett stort utbud av smycken, böcker, glas, kort, affischer, sjalar etc. Det finns också flera stora lekrum för barn samt lokaler med monster.Jag kommer definitivt att besöka slottet igen, jag såg inte allt, det är så stort att man inte kan ta in alla lokaler vid ett besök.Man kan även boka biljetter till teaterföreställningar, här utspelade ”Hamlet” sig i Shakespeares drama. Det finns både danska och internationella skådespelare som agerar här. För många år sedan såg jag just ””Hamlet” här med engelska skådespelare, mycket proffsigt! Som besökare känner man sig mycket välkommen! Rekommenderas varmt!
