I had a one-hour tax consultancy session with Advice's Julia. She helped me a lot by answering my questions about Swedish taxation for companies and individuals. Consulting her was a good way to get answers on these topics efficiently. It was also an enjoyable experience. (We had difficulties with Microsoft Teams and some echo in their meeting room, but we quickly resolved these.)But then a shock came when it came to billing: the company intended to charge me for 10 hours (17,500 SEK + VAT) instead of 1 hour.I'm unsure if that was a trick they tried to pull on me or if it was genuinely their opinion that preparing for a one-hour session (and sending me four static, single-page PDFs the day after the session) took 9 hours. But there was definitely a lack of transparency on the company's part, which is a red flag for me.In the end, I agreed to pay for two hours, but it left me as an unsatisfied client.I hope this was only a single-time misunderstanding between Advice and me rather than their standard operation.
